Aylesford Pottery in Kent is a friendly commercial pottery in the South East of England making a range of handmade ceramics, specialising in hand thrown (on the potter’s wheel), hand built and small-batch cast ceramics. Master potters Alan Parris and Billy Byles run the pottery, creating a combination of studio pottery and commissions for various artists, restaurants, gift shops and architects.
Alan Parris and Billy Byles began to manage Aylesford Pottery in 1999 after gaining many years of experience working for some of the biggest potteries in London, Kent and abroad. Aylesford Pottery has expanded under the tenure of Alan and Billy to include three core elements:
Commercial pottery work at Aylesford Pottery centres around ceramics production on a small scale, fulfilling orders and commissions for local and national individuals and businesses. From Michelin-starred restaurants to local gift shops, the hand-made pottery produced here can be found all over Kent.
